neither do i condemn you
her name was lena. all through her life, lena sought for love. love she never knew and never felt. her parents were absent from her life for as long as she could recall and her peers never saw her worthy enough to be their friends. daily she wept into her pillow alone but smiled while she was in a crowd. a forced and unnatural smile ...
she soon grew up looking for love and accepting them in all the wrong places. she received hugs and kisses and gave them lavishly to men who could see nothing in her except for the fact as to how she is going to satisfy them later in bed. she got married but she could not care less about him. she spent nights at pubs, drinking to stifle her tears and drown her sorrows. after each night of wild partying, lena would return to her tear-stained pillow and feel the void in her grow bigger and bigger ...
his name was chris. chris was intelligent, rich and he was constantly surrounded by friends who loved and supported him through all his decisions. except that particular one of which they threatened to disregard him as a friend if he goes ahead with it. the decision to marry lena, the decision to be by her side because he truly loved her so.
it hurts him to see her return home drunk and dishevelled. it hurts him to know that she does not know the depths of his love towards her. it hurts him to see her suffer like that. it hurts him ...
tonight was no different from any other. lena was laughing at the joke of this man she had just met. he was charismatic and had many funny stories to share and she enjoyed being with him. as the night progressed, lena felt the ceiling spin and the throbbing music grew louder and louder ...
unconscious and fiercely being undressed, lena could barely make out the blurred image of the man who had made her laugh earlier on. she raised her hand in a feeble attempt to stop him, but it remained a feeble attempt. she felt his breath against her neck and how she wished she could die right there and then. just then, a door flung open and she heard loud protests and cries just before she passed out ...
"chris, you caught her cheating on you, do you believe us now?" "what are you going to do about this?" "she was caught in the very act of it, i think you should get a divorce!"
such were the murmurings of his friends. they wanted the best for him and took it upon their hands to show him what lena was up to. they had followed her to the hotel room and notified him just so that he would be able to see for himself what a slut of a wife he has married ...
"no one is allowed to condemn her except for me, for she is my wife. but, neither do i condemn her, because i love her."
"... but neither do i condemn her, because i love her." lena wept. not because of her loneliness now, but because she realised that the love that she has been looking for has been there along, accepting her for who she is. this unconditional love. this agape love.

A True Life Account - An Adultress Faces the Light of the World
John 8:1-12
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
He has loved us unconditionally even before we knew Him.
He died for us when we rejected Him.
He was pierced and wounded for us, though He did no wrong.
He suffered our shame so that we may come boldly into His presence.
He cried, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" so that we may now call God our Abba Father and that He will never forsake us.
He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
He laid down His life so that mine would be risen up.
He is my CHRISt. He loved me so much that He would rather die than live eternity without me.
